TVF: Your audience isn't as tired of hearing you as you are

THE VISIBLE FOUNDER

There’s something I’d like you to remember the next time you think:

“I’ve already talked about this.”

The person reading your content probably doesn’t feel that way, because you have a completely different relationship with your message.

You know every time you’ve thought about it.

Every time you’ve written it down.
Every conversation you’ve had about it.
The five versions of the same post you discarded.
The newsletter you wrote three months ago.
The client call where you explained the exact same thing.

Your mind holds all that context.

Your audience doesn’t.

This came up again in a recent call with one of my clients.

He knew he needed to repeat his ideas.
He didn’t need convincing of that.

But he was afraid of becoming that person who always talks about the same thing and I think that fear makes a lot of sense.

No one wants to feel like a bore or make people think: “This again?”

But that’s where we made a distinction that I think is important.

You don’t need to repeat the exact same post.
You need to repeat the ideas you want people to associate with you.
And those two things are very different.

You can talk about the same idea based on an experience you had with a client.

I am pretty sure I spoke about the same topic a month ago, and either you didn't read it, or you don't remember. Or maybe thanks to reading about it twice, it's making more sense to you now.

The point is, you want to use a completely everyday situation that makes you think:

“This happens in my work, too.”

The idea remains.
The story changes.
And that made me think of something that happens to me quite often.

Sometimes I’m walking or on a trip, or in the shower (I know, basic) and a connection occurs to me regarding something we discussed on a call.

I’m not trying to create content. In fact, I’m probably thinking about something else entirely, but that little connection pops up.

And I save it.

Because I know it might not be a new idea.
It’s a new way of explaining something I already know matters.

And that, to me, is much more sustainable. Because I don’t want my clients to have to turn into idea-generating machines.

I want them to have a clear message and then learn to live within it.

To observe how it shows up in their work, their clients, conversations, and their own experiences.

That’s where content starts to feel much more natural.

And much less exhausting, too.

When I work on this one-on-one with clients, that’s exactly what we look for: which ideas are worth repeating, and which stories, experiences, and observations can lead us to them in different ways.

And if you want to start exploring this on your own, you can do so with my MASTERCLASS.

If, on the other hand, you feel you need someone to sit down with you and help you find that message and those stories within your own business, you can also reply to me, and we can talk about working together in a personalized way.

PS: There is no better time to bet on yourself than right now!

It's not what you say, but it's how you say it.
